General Information
The Eastern Republic is an independent, conservative student newspaper founded in 2008 by Steven Wyble and Michael Astle which serves Eastern Washington University and the Cheney, Wash., area.
The Eastern Republic aims to inform readers with a combination of campus and community news and conservative opinion, countering the liberal status quo that so many students are force fed. We are here to challenge assumptions, critique the establishment, and give our two cents.
Our mission statement:
It is the mission of the Eastern Republic to enlighten the students of Eastern Washington University as to the actions or the lack thereof by school administrators, faculty, ASEWU and the general student body. We promise to make the actions on campus transparent in order to hold this campus to the highest level of professionalism and academic honesty in order to better serve the students of this great university.
